Prep C is one colon lavage per day for three consecutive days at the end of the week before the FMT programme date.
Typically it is booked for the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the previous week with the weekend to rest and prepare the gut lining for the FMT programme starting on the following Monday.
Prep C is an additional cost of £597 including tax.
The Taymount Clinic team is both professional and compassionate. They went over and beyond to ensure a successful transplant process and worked with my schedule and need to travel to and from the USA.

The Taymount FMT Standard places safety, quality and care at the heart of everything we do.
Our strict donor selection, screening and quarantine procedures protect patient safety.
We never use the whole stool. In the lab we extract gut flora (microbial cells) from donated stools to create FMT implants.
By removing food, mucus, biliary waste, skin cells, blood cell debris, hormones and other toxins from donor material we avoid potential side effects.
For example, a woman with naturally high testosterone levels will not receive additional male hormones via our Gut Flora Transplants (FMT), and therefore avoids the risk of hormonal imbalance.
The UK Human Tissue Authority (HTA) has excluded our FMT implants from HTA regulation because our process leaves it highly unlikely that any intact host human cells remain in the extracted microbial implant.
A diverse microbiome is key to a healthy gut and strong immune system. Each Taymount donor provides, on average, over 1000 different types of microbial cell.
Our 10 day FMT Programme uses implants from 10 different donors to maximise the diversity of gut flora a client receives.
We take an aliquot (safety sample) from every FMT implant we create and store it at -80°c for a minimum of two years, to allow for any subsequent audit testing
Every single one of our implants (used in the UK or anywhere in the world), can be traced to its donor source. Our international tracking system provides peace of mind for us, and for clients.
Evidence shows frozen FMT implants are just as effective as fresh material (C. difficile studies 2014, 2016, 2017).
Freezing our FMT implants at -80°c allows us to be:
